By now I’m sure everyone is aware of the awful tragedy that has happened in Aurora, Colorada. During a midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises a man wearing a gas mask started shooting people in the cinema and tossed a gas canister into the auditorium as people were watching the film.

The man was arrested outside the cinema after killing at least 12 people and wounding over 30 others. Some of his victims were very young children.

This kind of event is shocking, upsetting and difficult to comprehend. It is definitely not the kind of thing I would have wanted to be thinking about or discussing on the release day of The Dark Knight Rises.

There will be many questions to come out of this day, but for now my heart goes out to the families and friends of the victims affected by this horrendous crime, and my thoughts are with them.
