Lately I have been hearing that more and more people have been taking to Kickstarter to get their project off the ground. Ranging from apps to comics but the latest one that has caught my eye is The Canyons;  directed by Paul Schrader, written by Bret Easton Ellis and produced by Braxton Pope. With its tagline “It’s not the hills the film is being described as a contemporary noir thriller about a group of 20 something and their ambitious lives to the back drop of Los Angeles.

The trailer itself is very artsy, showing random clips of Los Angeles all to the back drop of Coming Down by the Dum Dum Girls.
