Originally published in 1985 in comic book format, then released a year later as a graphic novel, Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns is one of the most popular Batman titles ever published. It is also much revered by the legions of Batman fans all over the world, me included.
So I was very excited when I heard about this trailer for the animated adaptation of The Dark Knight Returns. In it, Batman is voiced by original Robocop Peter Weller, and the story has been adapted by Bob Goodman.
For the purpose of the animated version the graphic novel has been split into two parts. Part 1 is released on September 25th and you can watch the trailer below, courtesy of MTV Geek.
