The US Version of the Inbetweeners debuts in America on Monday, 20th August on MTV.
Below is a sneak peek which British fans will recognise:
Most people will remember that MTV unsuccessfully launched Skins amid outcry and controversy with the Parents Television Council, who claimed that the show breached child pornography laws.

I think it looks pretty poor to be honest…it seems to have lost a lot of its humour as a consequence of being ‘sanitised’ for the American market, and it just reminded me of a sub-par version of American Pie.
Well if the American version of “Being Human” is any indication I’m afraid we’ll manage to bastardize “Inbetweeners” as well.
I actually quite like the US version of Being Human, I have found the British one poorly made and difficult to follow. I do intend to make myself watch it though as its the British one, I just keep finding other things to do.
However most US remakes are terrible – Skins, Life on Mars….
I’ve purposefully avoided watching the US version of Being Human because I expect it to be another one that loses something in translation.
I don’t think it’s just US remakes that are bad – remakes as a general concept just seem to be a bit pointless IMO. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! Although having said that, I actually prefer the US version of The Office to the UK version…
