Earlier today Marvel released the first look at the revamped Avengers – part of its Marvel Now initiative. With new members and a new creative team this signals a new direction for the famous superheroes. Joining writer Jonathan Hickman and artist Jerome Opena is fan-favourite artist Dustin Weaver who has provided spectacular covers for the first 3 issues which you can see below.
The covers for the first 3 issues when put side by side create a single image which shows most of the new team.
Avengers is one of the flagship titles of Marvel old and Marvel Now, and there is a lot of anticipation for this new series. Find out who is going to be called up by Captain America this December.
Each issue of Avengers will include a code for a free digital copy on the Marvel Comics app for iOS and Android devices and in the Marvel Digital Comics Shop. Additionally, each issue of Avengers features special augmented reality content available exclusive through the Marvel AR app which includes cover recaps and behind the scenes features.
