Image Comics is bringing back the man who can save the day with nothing more than a chewing gum and a paper bag – that’s right after 21 years since Richard Dean Anderson was on the air as everyone’s favourite inventive secret agent he’s back in a five issue mini-series co-written by his creator, Lee David and also co-written by Tony Lee (Doctor Who, Hope Falls) and drawn by Will Sliney (Farscape), with covers by Andie Tong (Superman, TRON).
Macgyver returns in the five issue mini series out on October 10th from Image Comics which picks ups Mac’s story as he gets tangled in a web of industrial espionage and murder and on the run with a million-dollar bounty on his head! Each issue will contain the history of the television show’s creation in the issues’ backmatter, written by Lee David Zlotoff.
That looks pretty sweet. I used to watch the show much to the chagrin of my Mom who probably thought I’d burn the house down.
I know, I used to love this show too. I was chuffed when Richard Dean Anderson showed up in SG1 years later (and even caught their in joke on Macgyver in the first episode).
