Northants International Comics Expo, or N.I.C.E, for which tickets are still on sale, despite it being this Saturday and Sunday (22nd and 23rd September), at Wicksteed Leisure Park, gives you the chance to join Alan Moore, he of Watchmen, V for Vendetta and a host of other genius creations, as he makes his first appearance at a UK comics convention in 25 years. Other guests include Charlie Adlard, Simon Bisley, Doug Braithwaite, Ian Churchill, Alan Davis, Steve Dillon, Marko Djurdjevic, Glenn Fabry, Melinda Gebbie, R.M. Guera, Adi Granov, David Hine, Shaky Kane, Dave Kendall, Clint Langley, Ben Oliver, Esad Ribic, Greg Staples, and John Watson.
Panels include ‘Storytelling – A meeting of mind’ with Alan Davis, ‘From panel to screen’ with Greg Staples, Adi Granov and Charlie Adlard and ‘How to write comics’ with Alan Moore and, perhaps more excitingly, an hour long Q&A.
Day tickets are priced at £15, with a weekend pass available for £25, with access to Alan Moore panels costing a donation of a graphic novel to Northamptonshire Libraries.
