We love comics here at Geeks Unleashed, so feast your eyes on Backslider, a project from Los Angeles based duo – Cody Rhyse and Andrew Hunt.
The story follows Sam Chalmers who ends up in an ancient struggle against a race of immortals, known as The Players. The bad dude you see in the picture is a Player named Templeton Spitz. At some point Sam gets cursed and wears a gauntlet to keep the curse from consuming him. Sounds good, right? I think so.
With funding they will print and deliver a 32-page graphic novel by Christmas of this year. Other cool rewards are available.
Designed for a mature audience, Backslider covers topics ranging in scale from terrifying to terrible and tells a tale of despair and destruction from the eyes of humankind’s only hope. [More on Kickstarter]
