TMZ reported early this morning that Johnny Lewis, 28, was found dead after falling from the roof of a Los Feliz home. Lewis was allegedly involved in the death of an elderly woman inside the home believed to be his land lady. Reports also indicate that Lewis may have been on PCP and/or Meth. Before falling to his death Lewis also fought two men with a 2 X 4 and his bare hands before he climbed onto the roof and ultimately fell.
“Sons of Anarchy” creator Kurt Sutter posted on his twitter and whosay! accounts that he wasn’t surprised by Lewis’ death saying, “i wish i could say that i was shocked by the events last night, but i was not. i am deeply sorry that an innocent life had to be thrown into his destructive path.”
Lewis is well known for his role as Kip “Half Sack” Epps from 2008 to 2009 on FX Network’s show “Sons of Anarchy” and his role as Dennis “Chili” Childress from 2005-2006 on the CW’s “The O.C.”
It’s sad when someone so talented and so young loses their life to drugs. It’s even more tragic when an innocent loses their life in the process. Thoughts and prayers are with the family of the elderly woman killed and with Lewis’ friends, family, and colleagues as well.
