DC Comics solicitations confirmed this week what Rob Liefeld announced on his twitter feed last month, the cancellation of four of its previously ongoing titles namely Blue Beetle, Frankenstein: Agent of S.H.A.D.E., Grifter and Legion Lost.
This is particularly disappointing in the case of Frankenstein: Agent of S.H.A.D.E. – Matt Kindt’s tie-in to ‘Rotworld’ was a good read and the series itself was criminally underrated.
The titles will end in January at issue 16. Thanks for the stories guys!
Let the speculation about replacement titles commence.
Justice League of America, written by Geoff Johns with art by David Finch was announced back in August.
Threshold, written by Keith Giffen with art by Tom Raney, was announced at NYCC 2012 and will feature Omega Man, Blue Beetle, Star Hawkins, and a new Green Lantern, amongst others.
Rob Liefeld also took to twitter recently to announce a possible Superman/Batman book featuring Brad Meltzer and Bryan Hitch but this was denounced at NYCC. We, however, correctly brought news of a, as yet untitled, Superman book, the creative team for which consists of Scott Snyder and Jim Lee.
