Founded in 2010, the Shel Dorf Awards are “dedicated to recognising the comic industries best and brightest talents” from a fan perspective. Shel was a devoted comic fan and historian who founded the international Comic-Con convention in the US, now known as San Diego Comic-Con.
Last year’s winners include Robert Kirkman (Writer of the Year), Guy Davis (Penciler), Klaus Janson (Inker) and Mike Mignola (Cover Artist). All winners will receive their awards at the Detroit Fanfare 2012 Comic Book Convention on October 27th.
