The iPad Mini, with its reduced screen size (7.9 inches) and display resolution of 1024×768, will utilise the new Lightning connector, sport a 5MP iSight camera and have the A6 processing chip. The price for the 16GB wifi model is $329 (£269 in the UK) and will be available in stores from November 2nd.

Wifi models with cellular capability will follow in a couple of weeks.

The fourth generation iPad will retain the dimensions of the previous model but benefit from the A6 processor, which Apple claim is 2x more powerful than the current one. It too will feature the new lightning connection. And the price?  $499 for the 16GB wifi model.

Apple also announced new MacBook Pro, iMac and MacMini upgrades.

Stay tuned for more.
