Robert Downey Jr returns as Tony Stark for the third instalment of Iron Man, along with Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts and Don Cheadle as James Rhodes.
Iron Man 3 will also feature Sir Ben Kingsley as The Mandarin (first appearance Tales of Suspense #50) and Guy Pearce as Aldrich Killian – who created the Extremis serum, an attempt to recreate the Super-Soldier Serum (for further details see The Invincible Iron Man volume 6 #1-6 written by Warren Ellis, with artwork by Adi Granov).
Disney/Marvel Studios’ synopsis revealed last week Iron Man would face an “enemy whose reach knows no bounds…Stark is left to survive by his own devices” whilst discovering the answer to a question which has haunted him – “does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?” – which the trailer captures perfectly.
Iron Man 3 is scheduled for release May 3rd, 2013 and we over at GU can’t wait.
