Good News! Arnold Schwarzenegger, former bodybuilder, actor, businessman, investor and politician (ergo polymath), is set to return as Conan! Despite his 65 years.
The Austrian Oak said in a recent interview “I always loved the Conan character and I’m honoured to be asked to step into the role once again”.
The latest incarnation is set to ignore the 2011 reboot, returning to the original which ended with Arnie on the throne, very much the seasoned warrior.
Producer Fredik Malmberg (Let Me In) has said “think of it as Conan’s Unforgiven”, which certainly embodies Conan’s cod philosophy of what is best in life.
“To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women.”
The Legend of Conan is scheduled for release in 2014 and will hopefully boast the 65 year old in THAT furry codpiece.
