After two previous Fantastic Four Movies which starred Ioan Gruffudd (Reed Richards), Jessica Alba (Sue Storm), Chris Evans (Johnny Storm), Michael Chiklis as the blue-eyed Thing and Julian McMahon as the villainous Victor von Doom with the Fantastic Four in 2005 and its follow-up the Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer in 2007. The latter was panned by critics and you can read the generally negative reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. After the generally unpopular sequel there has been much news on a return / reboot of the franchise. Today news has been released from Unleash The Fanboy that 2015 will be the year of release for the planned reboot from director Josh Trank, with script by Jeremy Slater from 20th Century Fox (who still retain the rights) and will be released in 3D. The rebooted Fantastic Four will join other 2015 films; Star Wars: Episode 7, The Avengers 2, Justice League and Ant-Man.
